We serve mainly vulnerable seniors from low to middle-income groups, aged 55 and above, of all races and religion. A sizeable proportion of them live alone and are inactive and isolated.
Come 2030, the elderly aged over 65 will make up 20% of Singapore’s population. Inactive and isolated seniors may face earlier onslaught of mental, emotional or medical illnesses that require support. Among the issues faced by the socially isolated include a deepening sense of loneliness, depression, and a low level of self-care and nutrition.
To help them cope with and overcome these issues, we collaborate with volunteers and community partners to offer programmes that integrate health and wellness activities that also meet psychosocial, emotional and learning needs. We aim to provide a warm and supportive environment that harnesses our seniors’ talents and rich experience, empowering them to live well and healthily, and be connected to the community.
Seniors benefit from convenient daily access to senior gyms and healthy activities to maintain or build physical strength and mobility.
Seniors feel empowered to care for their physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being
Seniors enjoy strong social ties and connection to the community, reminiscing about old times, celebrating milestones, and sharing life stories.
Seniors find purpose in sharing interests, imparting skills, and contributing back by becoming a befriender.
We run integrated programmes to meet multiple well-being targets:
