People think we are poor because we make bad choices. The truth is, my family has limited ones. When I found out I had cancer, we fell into financial hardship because of the medical bills. The constant stress also affected my marriage and the children. Many times, I felt like there was no way out. MWS supported my family through this ordeal. They provided us with casework and counselling, and enabled us to clear our debts and build our emergency savings. With financial aid, we managed to save over $10,000 which gives us hope. We are getting over our hardship. I can also focus on getting better health-wise. Most of all, I now feel better as a mother and wife.

Because of how we've been blessed, my family is very clear about our calling and responsibility to care for others. We choose to contribute to MWS because we believe in their outreach efforts, the causes they stand for, and the needs they work to meet. The MWS Family Development Programme in particular, which provides counselling and financial aid to low-income families embrouiled in hardship, resonates with us. In these times when many may feel even more hopeless, we pray that lives will continue to be touched and changed through MWS and every gift given and received.
